Mondays... there sort of like that...

Picture
Happy Monday everyone, and if you're in the Southern Ontario area or frankly anywhere between Niagara Falls NY and Texas, enjoy the sun today, by Wednesday we should all have been hit by an epic snow-storm.

Cheers to helping each other through Mondays,

Whatever happened to...

You all remember Bo Burnham right? If you don't just take a look at his old YouTube stuff... the stuff from back when he was funny. (Too far?) It's not to say his new stuff isn't good, and to prove that I've found some recent white-boy-rappin' that made me laugh. So check him out:
Cheers to the world finally comin' around about this whole Father-Bad-Touch thing... The Catholics really need to be viewed a little more objectively...

One BAMF! for the books!

Picture
Have you ever been in a position where you looked at an existing design and thought to yourself: "I could do better!" Usually these epiphanies come with a few beers, lots of duct-tape, and the emergence of a poor design that could be replaced with items from the dollar store.

Tal Golesworthy on the other hand, he's a bit of a genius... You see Tal had a problem with his heart; Marfan syndrome, a genetic, life-threatening heart defect that left his main artery in danger of splitting. So like any braniac engineer Tal decided he was going to fix it... yup! Fix his own heart!

It took him a little while, but he managed to make a device that was able to correct his problem and allow him to work with surgeons to have his invention installed on himself.

There aren't many people who can say that they designed their own prosthetic, even fewer can say they designed and built it... making this guy on BAMF!

Picture
The heart implant that saved his life, which he built!
Cheers to Tal, who has lived with his implant for over a decade, so far it's been virtually problem free.

Beware of freedom and a lack of oppression!

Now you don't have to watch Fox "News" for very long to find something to laugh at, but this is just sad. Who would go through this much effort just to piss off a nation of people who have it way better than you. Jealous much Bill?
Cheers to Fox News...even when they know they're wrong they still go down swingin! (Also cheers to our brothers and sisters from a'NetherLand, you make us Canadians look tame and restricted! :P)

Whose side are they on anyways?

Recent activities in Egypt as really making for some interesting developments. What was the army doing? Protecting the protesters, protecting the cops, or just standing in the way to stop everyone from fighting...? Whatever went down, it seems that the conflict is getting close to a climax:
Cheers to civil revolts; could democracy be any more pure?

Attacking attackers... Political attack ads = Bullying, says Rick

Why couldn't Rick Rolling just be videos of this guy? I think Canada should start that...every time a foolish internet surfer thinks he's clicking on an elderly person falling down stairs, or a house-pet using a musical instrument, BAM! A video that teaches them something! Anyways, enough of my ramblings, take it away Rick:
Cheers to RM, always telling it how it is. It doesn't take a genius to tear politics a new one...but we sent one anyways!

And now a letter from El Presidente!

Picture
A response from the President of TacoBell to a lawsuit from the Alabama law firm’s class-action lawsuit alleging their “meat mixture” is only 35% actual beef. Greg Creed, pres., took a full-page ad out in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and New York Times, thanking their critics for suing them. (We can only assume the lawsuit gave them just the publicity they needed to put the old rumours to rest.) The only slightly alarming thing here is that there is still sand in the mix...literally.

Cheers to being owned and schooled in 3 of the most prominent print sources in the USA.

The irony here: Egyptians can't view these...

Internet meme-ery has taken to supporting (mocking?) the crisis in Egypt. Personally I think the best way to get through tragedy is with humour, for this reason I give you three of this weeks best net-memes.

Cheers to taking such horrible events in good stride. We can only hope the government falls soon; each casualty is one more too many.

Happy Sundog!I missed Caturday, so here's my apology!

Picture
Amazing talent gone to such remedial methods, from the streets of Georgia comes an unlikely window art. (anyone want to come make art out of the road-salt on my car?)

Cheers to talent where you least expect it!

Geek-lol!

Picture
Some of you won't get this...but most of you will probably look back at the CPUs of ten years ago and wonder how we ever got anything done at all.
Cheers to technological progress, leaps and bounds from where we once were.
