Pro-democracy protests, are they contagious?

So it seems following the protest in Egypt, which took to the world stage like a Broadway show, many other middle-eastern countries are taking to the streets. The people's minds are seeded with the notion of freedom and human rights, and there's no reversing that image. 
Is war in the middle east a thing of the past? Not by a long shot, but those who have been oppressed for decades are fighting back and it's not going to go unnoticed this time. Cheers to democratic action, the way our forefathers' fought for it. These countries may just be where the USA was in the Civil War, or where Canada was in the 1800s. We can only hope it goes so well.
