Ricky Gervais: Atheism Shouldn't Offend!
Last week I posted the video clip from a recent episode of House where Hugh Laurie's character, Greg, finally admits to being an atheist. In that blog I mentioned the recent appearance of Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globe awards, where he dropped the controversial bombshell by saying, at the end of his speech: "Thank God I'm an atheist!"
This comment raised some eyebrows and offended many. Ricky has since made an anti-apology, and rightfully so:

Cheers to standing up for your beliefs, or lack there of. The world is diverse in opinion, and we, in 2011, cannot stand for hypocrisy and big Church bullying!
